The internship program at Woodside Equine Clinic will provide a comprehensive learning curve in all aspects of an advanced and progressive equine clinic. The high volume caseload will enhance the individual’s clinical competency, diagnostic skills, and communication skills. Guidance will be provided by 8 experienced clinicians/veterinarians in the fields of lameness, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, reproduction, acupuncture and chiropractic, as well as advanced dentistry. This internship experience will provide a foundation for advancement in private practice or an academic residency. Intern duties include rotation with each veterinarian. Responsibilities include supervision and daily care of in-house cases, primary and follow-up care of routine cases, emergency calls, assisting with farm calls, and solo ambulatory calls. This internship is directed toward an individual who has the desire to advance in all aspects of equine medicine and the vigor to perform their duties with a positive attitude.
