After graduating from Auburn University in 1995, he returned to Kentucky and served as a resident veterinarian for both Walmac International and Castleton farms. Prior to joining Woodside Equine Clinic, Dr. Berry spent eight years with the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine - first, as a surgical resident at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg; and then as a large animal surgeon at the H. T. Peters Large Animal Teaching Hospital in Blacksburg. His final three years with Virginia Tech were spent serving as the senior equine surgeon in the Blacksburg hospital.
