
| Dr. David Stanford graduated from the Virginia- Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1988. He then completed an internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Free Union, VA and one year in practice in Chester County PA before coming to the Richmond area in 1990.
Dr. Stanford enjoys all aspects of equine practice including lameness, dentistry and medicine, but his primary interest is equine reproduction. He has taken numerous continuing education courses to advance his skills and offer a wide range of reproductive services. In August 2007, after several years of study, Dr. Stanford passed his boards and was accepted as a diplomate in the American College of Theriogenologists (Veterinary Reproduction Specialists).
Dave and his wife Karen have 3 children in addition to their dog, Rusty. He spends most of his free time watching his kid’s volleyball matches, soccer games, gymnastics meets, and running with Rusty. |
