Dr. Meg Hammond is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia where she grew up riding hunters. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia and earned her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, she worked as a student technician in her school’s large animal hospital and was an active member in her student chapter of AAEP.
After completing an internship during 2010-2011 at Woodside Equine Clinic she was asked to stay on as one of our associate veterinarians. Dr. Hammond is especially interested in ambulatory and emergency care, reproductive medicine, lameness and diagnostic imaging.
In her spare time, Dr. Hammond enjoys spending time with her friends and family and with her fiance, Trey. She particularly enjoys the outdoors and trips to the beach. |
