Dr. David C. Smith grew up on a ranch in a small town in Oklahoma.  Dr. Smith used to spend his summers in Virginia riding horses and knew that he always wanted to come back.   He rode for the Colorado State University Equestrian team while completing his undergraduate degree in Equine Sciences.   He ended up staying at Colorado State for vet school and earned his DVM.  Interests include: emergency care, lameness, anesthesia, and reproduction.

In his spare time he likes to ride, hunt, and train his field trial dog, Doc.
