Are you passionate about equine care and ready to be part of a collaborative, skilled, and supportive team? Woodside Equine Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team in an overnight position.

We’re looking for a night owl who enjoys working independently, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and is comfortable being an important part of the team behind the scenes while most of the world is sleeping. Our overnight team plays a critical role in providing continuity of care for hospitalized patients and supporting emergency cases that come through our doors after hours.

As a hospital assistant, you’ll be part of a dynamic and compassionate team focused on delivering exceptional care to our equine patients. You’ll assist with day-to-day (and night-to-night!) patient care, help maintain a clean and organized hospital environment, and support our doctors and technicians with a wide variety of medical and emergency cases.

What you'll do:

• Assist with medical treatments, diagnostics, surgeries and other procedures as directed
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient care
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition or behavior
• Provide hands-on support in patient care, including feeding, grooming and holding horses.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in stalls, treatment areas, and hospital spaces

What we're looking for:

• Horse experience is required; veterinary or animal care experience is preferred but not required
• Team players with a strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in doing things right
• Ability to safely handle horses of various temperaments and sizes
• A calm, positive attitude - even during busy or unpredictable days
